Features and Benefits

Quest Exchange Migration Wizard manages the ZeroIMPACT™ Exchange 5.5 to Exchange 2003/2007 migration in a way that provides full administrative control and uninterrupted access to users' messaging and collaboration tools. It also provides:

Multi-Node Cluster Support

  • Support for any cluster configuration running multiple Exchange Virtual Servers. This applies to both mailbox and public folder servers. The console automatically detects clusters and sets up the agents appropriately. Should the cluster failover, the agents will failover appropriately.

Remote Users Collection

  • Even more transparent migration for remote and laptop users. It automatically migrates and switches the mailbox in a way that allows a user to keep the existing OST file after connecting to a new Exchange 2003 or 2007 mailbox.

True Coexistence

  • Two-way and near real-time synchronization of directories, mailboxes, calendar data and public folders to enable true coexistence between target and source Exchange organizations.
  • Access to user mailboxes at any time, even when the mailbox is in the process of being migrated. No other solution offers this capability.
  • Automatic reconfiguration of desktops to avoid a flood of help desk calls immediately following the transition.

Reduce Administrative Burden

  • Automated, unattended data movement that saves administrators’ time. Move data during times of low network traffic, such as overnight and weekends.
  • The ability to group mailboxes into mailbox collections. Collections with higher priorities can be migrated first.
  • The ability to migrate collections over several sessions, with each session picking up where the previous one left off. Multiple collections can be migrated in parallel sessions, so you can move more data and shorten project timeline.
  • The ability to specify when each server is used, when and how much data is allowed to be sent across the network, and set limits for admissible resource utilization, including disk space.
  • E-mail notifications to provide status of active and completed activities.
  • Compression rates as high as 10:1 speed data movement. Reduce the bandwidth required by the migration.

Project Management Reporting

  • Comprehensive, automatically generated reports to simplify project planning and management by providing information on the migration process and job status.
  • A graphical user interface to manage and set priorities transitioning mailboxes.
