Stat for PeopleSoftProject ManagementTrack all activities associated with a request or project Stat® enables managers to track all tasks associated with a request or project. Each task can be updated to reflect actual hours, estimated hours, percent complete and total dollars. Predictable and consistent tasks can be automatically generated by Stat based on configurable events; tasks may also be created as needed by Stat users. Past due events can either trigger e-mails or be reported on in one of the many past due reports that are available. Using Stat to track tasks that are associated with PeopleSoft change requests allows developers to determine the level of detail that they wish to track with each change.
Combine multiple requests into one Stat project Multiple change requests (CSRs) can be related to a Stat project. This enables the project manager to see at a glance the status of all open CSRs, individual tasks and issues associated with a project. Stat’s project functionality provides an easy method for the project manager to manage multiple change requests simultaneously.
Expand your Development Team The Stat Web client enables all team members to view and submit CSRs from a Web browser, ensuring remote employees can effectively participate in your development projects. Remote, external and traveling team members can utilize the Stat Web client to authorize migration and status transfer approvals. End users can view change requests as they move through the change management cycle and get status updates regularly.
Define workflows according to how work is assigned and controlled Stat’s GUI workflow feature provides the option to enforce change management processes by regulating the sequence and conditions by which CSR’s can change from one status to the next (i.e. from In Development to In Testing). In addition to controlling the sequence of status changes, workflows can include status rules and transfer rules. A status rule could state that no migrations are to occur when a CSR is in a particular status (i.e. when Status in Open and not yet approved). A transfer rule may enforce that a specific migration has occurred, an approval obtained or a task completed, as well as who can actually perform the transfer. Complete transfer history is maintained so that all relevant information, such as the time and date a transfer occurred, the ID of the user who performed the transfer, and the transfer approval record, etc., can be viewed online. Stat’s workflow functionality enforces control over the change process based on each organization’s unique needs and processes.
