Strategic Solution Architect/Technical Evangelist – Based in Hong Kong/Singapore

We are seeking individuals who can think and operate differently to provide thought leadership for Application Management.    

• Established as industry thought leaders in IT-Business alignment.
• Understand organizational, governance, procedural, financial, security, technical implications that prevent or accelerate alignment.
• A master communicator - polished in communications at all levels, written and verbal.
• Unsatisfied with anything less than perfect customer service.
• Entrepreneurial, with the ability to help organizations justify, quantify, and plan for a multi-phase, multi-year IT-Business alignment.
• Extensive knowledge in IT, particularly application architecture. The proper alignment plan will be inclusive of partners, integrations, foreign technology, new development, and competitors.
• Able to adapt philosophies, services, and processes for each account.

Responsibilities:

• Formulate MRDs and work with development teams to: a) aid IT transitions; and b) incorporate best practices into Quest products.
• Generate financial, organizational, governance, security plans to aid with IT-Business alignment initiative.
• Rapidly prototype IT-Business alignment solutions that integrate with existing IT and Business systems.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent education.
• Extensive software structured programming experience (java, C++, etc) is a must-have.
• At least 6 years application architecture & design work for some combination of JEE, .NET, C and SOA, with at least 3 years’ technical consulting experience in the Asia Pacific region.
• Demonstrated experience working in a single vertical industry, proven ability to apply IT-Business alignment techniques to specific industry.
• Experience with messaging systems and middleware (e.g. MQSeries, etc), wide range of platform technologies (Oracle, DB2/UDB, SQL, Websphere, Weblogic, .NET, etc.)
• Systems management technology experience (e.g. HP Openview, IBM Tivoli, CA/Wily, Mercury Interactive, Compuware, etc.)
• ERP Application (e.g. SAP, Oracle E-business, Peoplesoft, Siebel) experience a plus
• Advanced software technical problem-solving skills.
• Detail-oriented, “hands-on”, project management skills, including proven ability to drive accountability of all project participants.
• Solid written and verbal skills, preferably with experience presenting to large groups
• Regional travelling will be necessary.
